Sam Kwak, one of the co-founders of Accelerated Strategies, initially discovered the concept of the Accelerated Payoff Strategy in early 2016. After testing out the concept for himself on a spreadsheet, Sam applied the Accelerated Payoff concept and strategy to his own financial situation, which was riddled with credit card debt, and he quickly realized that the Accelerated Payoff Strategy was the way out.

Impressed with his outcome, Sam and his brother, Daniel Kwak, created a YouTube video teaching the concept in September 2017, which has gone on to be viewed over 3.6 million times. Since then, Sam has also published several updated videos, which have all garnered over one million views as well. 

Having realized that there was a strong demand and curiosity for the concept, Sam and Daniel launched a company dedicated to teaching the Accelerated Payoff Strategy in January 2019. In 2021 the program evolved from just a virtual course into a consulting and software service program with additional partners and executive talents.

In 2024, Accelerated Strategies earned #1695 on the Inc 5000 fastest-growing company in the United States.
